"The Future is Within Reach" Student Scholarship Fundraiser 2008
The School of Library & Information Science at San José State University is hosting an exciting event, "The Future is Within Reach" A Night at the Museum. This fundraiser will showcase the San José Museum of Art. One-hundred percent of all proceeds will go towards student scholarships.
San José State University's School of Library & Information Science is the world's largest accredited LIS program with more than 2,000 graduate students. The school's skillful use of leading edge educational and information technologies makes its curriculum conveniently located everywhere. US News and World Report ranked the school nationally in 2006 and named it the #1 e–learning service providers in its discipline in 2006. Each year the School of Library & Information Science continues to provide quality education and opportunities to gain professional experience, with a variety of practicum and internship options.
This fantastic evening, consisting of art, music, wine and cheese tasting, hors d'oeuvres, and both a silent and a live auction, will be presented at the San José Museum of Art on Saturday, November 15, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This event will coincide with the California Library Association Conference in San José, which consistently attracts professionals of the corporate, public and academic sector.
